Tucked out of the wind on Tolcarne beach at Newquay this morning, sitting in the sun, eating a pasty, > 100 people in the sea. (It was a bit too wild out on Fistral for all but the experts).

It can't be. I cycled over 50km today in shorts and t-shirt; and I was still hot!

Did get rained on at one point, but donning the waterproofs just made it hotter. Frost, gales and rain seem a world away.
