My eyes were fixated to the lowest bits of that diagram :-)
I saw some spectacular, large turreted Ac before yesterday's cold front over
the cityscape of Manchester; the biggest I have seen actually. I thought
this would have occurred when huge amounts of mid-level instability are seen
pre-cold fronts in June/July/August when something interesting is dragged up
from the continent.
