Re: Using a Canon EOS-30D for deepsky?

I placed the order today.
I'll be using a Meade DSI for autoguiding. And I've go the T-Ring comming
with the camera. I found it funny that the sale guy didn't know what a
T-Ring was. I had to tell him that it attaches the camera to a #62 Prime
focus adapter (they sell astro stuff too), and after a couple of minutes of
looking he said "oh a T2 Mount Ring". hehe.
I'm actually quite happy that the red response is poor, as I found that my
film attempts were extremely heavy on the red. Besides, I saw a place on
the web where I could send the camera to get the IR filter removed, and
replaced with a plain glass filter. (or just plain removed)

Hi all.
Is it possible to use a Canon EOS-30D for DeepSky imaging? I currently
use
a normal SLR, which connects to a standard T-Ring - which then attaches
to
the scope without issue. Is there an appropriate adapter available for
the
EOS?
T-Ring for the EOS.
Is there anything else that I really should know about before forking out
a
fortune on this camera.
and a 3d balance rail for my LX-90?
Prepare to autoguide. If you can't forget it. Poor red response and
poor overall sensitivity. It shouldn't cost more than 100-150 quids
used though...
