Re: Some more pictures from Turkey

Hi Richard,

I was great to see your photos, the effect the eclipse has had on me
is still revealing itself. I am still well overloaded with emotion and
already considering the next one!

I am glad your photos turned out as well as they did and it was a
pleasure meeting you and the others on a great trip!

Free beer what a bonus............... ;-)

I almost feel ashamed to post my pics here after seeing the SENSATIONAL
shots on Pete's site (and others too), but you might get at least a flavour
of the event from my basic page.
I only took a 150mm lens so no great detail on the actual eclipse I'm
afraid.
Great meeting everyone, the lecture was spot on, everyone I talked to
enjoyed the presentation (how do you lecture a roomful of boffins without
sounding condescending, yet also entertain the people with little or no
astronomical knowledge? well Pete and Chris managed it splendidly).
And the eclipse itself - well yea. I was close to tears too, just about
halfway through the partial stage I felt quite overcome. I've been on a high
since.
I wouldn't have missed it for the world!
