At £280 for a 5" Newt its moderately priced but I'm unsure how stable
these single arm scopes are - I suspect they are primarily visual
scopes. For deepsky stuff [beyond the moon and brighter planets] you
need an equatorial rather than altazimuth mount as here.

Any chance of you visiting the London Astrofest this Friday/Saturday
where dozens of different scopes on view and plenty of 'advise' about?
I hope to be in the Club/Society area as usual.
