use RAW instead of JPG.

I did. However, I did most of my post processing in the Gimp using JPEG. I now have Raw Shooter Essentials 2005 and will try to do as much post-processing there as I can.

What version of the Gimp do you use? I can import my raw (NEF) files into
the Gimp and also do some preprocessing on the NEF-file. I'm using v.
2.3.6 for Linux but I would guess it's possible in Windows too.

I have Gimp 2.2.8 for Windows. I have a raw plug-in, but RSE has much more flexibility. Does 2.3.6 come with a NEF raw converter or is it a plug-in?
