Galling? Probably. I would use B14 bronze for a simple bearing collar
(that's what they use in the GP-DX. It needs not lubrication and does
not show galling problems, especially so if mated to corrosion
resistant SS (8-18 would do good) or hi strength corrosion resistant
alu alloys (7075, 2021).
