We're New

My wife and I are new to star gazing and as such have not much of a clue as
to what are good vs. bad products.

>From what I've seen at Telescopes.com the model Meade ETX-80AT-TC Astro
Telescope with AutoStar looks to have a lot of features and is designed for
beginners. But as I said, we're not sure about how it would rate overall.

And which would be better for DSO's? Reflector, refractor or os there
something else better?

We're trying to keep cost down, under 300 US.

Any input would be appreciated.
