The last you said, mate. Flat hot roofs and good planetary views don't
go together, more so if the scope is a Meade SCT. Ditto for any serious
deep sky CCD work. The only possible way to minimize that (sometimes it
worked for me but it was just a balcony) is to soak the floor with
water.
