Hi Colin

I have the same setup that you're proposing . I found that the wider field
of view was good for imaging directly through the 80mm while using the LX90
as the guidescope. I'm not sure that a webcam will be sensitive enough as an
autoguider in most cases unless modified for longer exposures? I know that
the LPI was all but useless for this and ended up using the DSI as an
autoguider. The DSI software also has an autoguide function.

I recently brought the DSI Pro back from a visit to the US and have tested
the DSI Colour guiding while the DSI pro's imaging, this works fine too, if
not a little demanding on the laptop's resources (2.8 Ghz Processor too!!).
Time for more RAM?

I ended up pawning my grandmother for the BC&F ring mounts but have seen a
few cheap homemade solutions:

There are cheaper solutions to BC&F's stock:

You'll be needing to consider counterbalancing the scope also. Again,
there's an option on the link above.

Looking forward to some of your images.

PS. Am considering building your dew removal system as I've no grannies left
to fund the Kendrick system.
