Tiscali are pretty good.

Tiscali are one of the biggest loads of wank out, or so I've gathered
on all of my research trips while I was trying to decide whether or
not to upgrade us.

That's your opinion. I know about half a dozen people who use them and
they've no complaints.

I was absolutely gutted when I found out that not
only had they taken over as my ISP by buying Pipex, but also that
they'd become my domain hosts too, since Pipex had already bought out
123-reg. Luckily, we switched to Pipex business in our upgrade, and
while it's still got Tiscali on the domain for our IP addy, we're
actually dealing with Pipex people, since it's the household side that
Tiscali've taken over the running of. *breathes sigh of relief*

Then you can imagine how I felt when Virgin bought out/ merged with or
whatever with NTL. They were dodgy as NTL but they're down right
neglegent
as Virgin.

Francis dear, if you're thinking about moving, I recommend you check

No, that's not *my* opinion, it's the opinion's of the many many
people whose posts I read while I spent ~a year and a half researching
into what ISPs are good/bad/indifferent because I was looking to
upgrade my broadband provider.

And yet I know half a dozen people who are happy with them. Everyone has
their opinion and they are entitled to it.

Dunno, can't get cable around here.

You're missing nothing.

They're less shopping around, and more telling you who's complaining
about what, and what each is capable of delivering.

Can you think of a better way to shop around?
