No need for fear at all, then.

EDS are notorious for designing computer systems that don't work, as anyone
in the Revenue, the DWP, and many other government departments will tell
you.

10 years after ID cards are supposed to be introduced, look forward to the
government minister explaining shamefacedly that in spite of spending £9000
million on developing the system, there are still teething troubles that
mean that no ID cards have actually been issued...
