Perhaps when we "do magic", we are more, re-aligning ourselves more
forcefully with our "true destiny" , souls task, etc, rather than moving /
changing what we want. Or not doing anything and going with the flow.

Is it like, we are fated to go in a particular direction and we need to accomplish certain tasks to do that, but we think we're making up our own minds to do them? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick?

Nope ... you are right, but it's been a long day and I need a clear head to think this one out.
Afternoon G+Ts do not help.
The image of stream beds, flood plains and direction flows come into it somewhere.

The image I have is of working with the grain rather than against it.
(Um ... given that there's still harvesting going on, perhaps I ought
to add that this is grain as in wood, not grain as in ears of.)

Needless to say, I have a chapter on this in my book.
However, it's not 'going with the flow' because all too often it turns out to be an eddy. It's more to do with discerning the Big Picture. Or creating the eddy...
