Re: Do Not Buy A CHRISTmas Present Until you Know.

Nah, we need a few more sensible Christians in here (and out there too).

Dear All,

Yesterday was the first Sunday of Advent. If you were in church that
morning you may have lit your first candle and your minister may have
been wearing purple. Purple is the colour associated with 'royalty'.
In ancient times it was in fact a very rear colour, simply because the
a dye had not been invented (found) until Victorian days which was
affordable.

Purple is also a colour of suffering which may be used during lent and
Holy week, connecting Jesus' birth, life and death.

To live our lives for others, to think of them, love them, suffer for
them, sacrifice for them and to do all of this in forgiveness of their
sins, to ensure their soul is saved is and act for God powered by His
Holy Spirit.

If the suffering around you of your neighbours is becoming all too
much, then invite Jesus into to your life to take it off your
shoulders. If you care for your neighbours lead them to His saving
Grace, DO THIS FOR THEM. Find out more about who He is, His majesty,
His suffering, His Hope, His glory, His Holy Spirit and what He has
done for you.

Don't let the rituals of your churches keep you from worship, the church is simply His people gathered together in His Holy name.

Next Sunday is the second Sunday in Advent, then the Sunday after that
the third..... Go and join in with joy to the build up to Jesus'
birthday. _THIS IS_ the true spirit of Christmas....this is the journey
to opening the greatest present you will ever receive, the greatest
present mankind has ever received.

Do not buy or give a single 'CHRISTmas present without thinking of the
Holy child, the Lord Jesus CHRIST, whose birthday you are about to
celebrate and the love with which He has lived and died for _YOU_.
This child, is your child, and for you He suffered. Think of Him this
Christmas, He is _your_ light in the world's darkness. There is no
other who has come in The Spirit, lived in the Spirit and died fully
One with God's Holy Spirit.

If the church you try does not suit you, simply try another until you
find your home and fellowship in Christ. All over the country, there
are house groups, study groups, gatherings, Christian organisations and
if there isn't a fellowship for you then meet up with others in His
name (ask the local churches for some help with study materials and
stumble together, but in love)...................get to know your child
of God, get closer to Him.

Love your neighbours, don't let them die in ignorance to Christ.

" Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I
bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him.
Pilate then went out again, and said to them, "Behold, I am bringing
Him out to you, that you may know that I find no fault in Him." Then
Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And
Pilate said to them, "Behold the Man!" Therefore, when the chief
priests and officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, "Crucify Him,
crucify Him!" Pilate said to them, "You take Him and crucify Him, for I
find no fault in Him." KJ John 19:4-6
