Why do you reckon time is circular? Looks linear to me.
Got you, Alan!
Think about it this way:
1. Now, you would say "Earth looks pretty flat to me in every direction, hence it can't be spherical."
hee hee
2. Now, you would say "Every morning I see sun rising in the east, then it travels on the sky all the day to reach west where it sets in the evening. Hence, Sun rotates around the Earth."
hee hee
Are you trying to prove that you are reading Bible?
We can guess.
To see around your arguments, please go to http://www.flat-earth.org/ :-)
Things cause other things to happen. My rebellion against God causes me to drift from him and I needed sorting out. God did that. That's not circular.

On a serious note, Every Galaxy has a giant black hole at its centre.
Visualize a cylinder of minimal dia (dis of a hair), and visual several rays entering the cylinder from the above and coming out from the bottom. As they go further away from the cylinder they bend away from the cylinder, take a full curve around it and join the rays entering the cylinder from the top. maybe you have seen something like that in wimamp or winodws-media-player visualizations, or on screensavers.
These are time lines. Gravity of the black hole deflects the light rays, hence time bends at it. Only that the time lines enter the black hole, and come out of a white hole that is another universe.
Cryptic. It indeed is. Easier to believe that time is linear, Earth is flat, and sun rotates around us.
Now, also ask, who have created all these rivers, seas, mountains?
And, PLOP!, you have just invented God.
Perhaps my use of the word "linear" was wrong. I ought to have said "uni-directional" (one-way). I might still have got it wrong, but at least I would have written what I was thinking and meant and therefore meant to say, but didn't (actually I should write "did not" as this is written English and not spoken English). I had thought of using the word(s?) "uni-directional", but thought I might mis-spell it (should I have written that as "misspell" and so have I mis-spelt (English)/mis-spelled (US)/misspelt (English)/misspelled (US) it?) that word. or. Even if I did spell it correctly, it was too long a word(s?) to be used in uk.religion.islam. See what a mess you've caused by making me try to explain myself simply!
Anyway, nice picture. but I've yet to see anyone travel along one of these very long time lines that reappears up its own backside, Dr. Who being the one exception and I don't think he is real.
