So you are not sorry for telling the untruth that I am the 'the

I am sorry for describing you as the resident misogynist, if I were
to say it was an untruth I would be telling a lie

What I meant here was that _I_ still believe that Jeff interprets the
Bible in a misogynist manner.

- where in the
Bible does it say that you must say sorry using precisely the words
that the person you have wronged requires?

You are merely making the accusation again here and should be
moderated accordingly.

The bible requires that you repent of your sin not that you merely
utter the words "I am sorry". You think that Jeff should accept your
sophistry as an apology? On what grounds should he do that?

I am apologising (and have done now numerous times) for describing him
as the resident misogynist - the fact that you and Jeff wish to
construct additional hoops for me to jump through is noted. I can
think of Jeff or you as being as odious as I like as long as I don't
describe what I think here (in uk.r.c) it is not against the charter
(even in your creative reinterpretation of it).

The scriptures don't require you to apologise, they require you to repent.
If you are merely apologising for voicing a lie then that apology isn't
meant for Jeff. If you are apologising to Jeff for lying about him then that
apology is in order.

Indeed you can think what you like, you cannot expect Jeff to accept an
insincere sophistic apology just because you have found a form of words that
look like an apology but had a disclaimer to make it clear that it wasn't
really one.

Try that one with God "Dear God I repent of making it obvious that I am a
sinner and in future will keep my sins private so kindly forgive me or I
shall deem you unreasonable, after all you can't expect me to repent!".

If it does, then I would like an apology from you for describing me
as unbaptised something which is a damnable lie.

You mean you won't repent unless the poerson you have insulted does
so first?

No! I don't see any requirement in my words for him doing it first -
it's just as well you're not the moderator!

Well you haven't indicated any repentance, in fact you have repeated the
lie.

If I were the moderator you would not be allowed to malign Jeff freely,
obviously you enjoy the privilege and with it to remain.

Phil
