Re: Queers can foster - Christians can't

What a fatuous remark! What the judge means is that so long as a person
who calls himself a Christian (Jew or Muslim) is prepared to deny his
faith and bow down to the god of PC speak, then he can foster or adopt,
but if he remains faithful to his religion, he can't.

[Mark:]
The judge has made no such statement. The media reports of the case have
been almost universally misleading, to the point of being downright false.

[Ken:]
I understood that Gareth was quoting the learned judge, and if so, he
appears to be saying, "Christians are fit and proper persons to foster
or adopt - except that these particular Christians aren't fit and
proper because they won't accept that homosexuality is good and
right."

I was indeed quoting the judge; more precisely, the two judges who
wrote the legal opinion we're discussing. The judges did not say
or imply that those particular Christians are not fit and right
and proper (for any reason, including but not limited to their
opinion about homosexuality). Nor do I see the slightest reason
to think that they think they aren't fit and right and proper
and so forth.

Do you care at all whether what you say is true, Ken?
