Ok, John, so why do you think I do not have any unanswered questions
that are forever baffling me and causing me to doubt God in some way or
another, or have no surprise or wonder why so many people in here or
everywhere reject either many or some of Christ's commands or those of
his ordained faithful Apostles?
And fair play to you Jeff.
What is that supposed to mean, John?
It means good for you. I am happy for you that you are in that position.
Thank you, so am I.
I do not see the same Jesus as you do. If you are right, and I doubt
very much you are, then fine.
So tell me how is it I STILL don't have all the doubts, consistent
heretical struggles with interpretation and 'infallibility' problems,
goofy misunderstandings and the outright obvious confusions that are
continually paraded on this group?
It is because you have placed your complete and utter faith in a book.
Yes the Word of God.....or don't you have the faith to believe it is?
Even when that book contains contradictions you still accept it,
Very few.... once they are properly analyzed .....comparing "Scripture with Scripture"
except when the book itself trips you up, as it has done many times.
How do they, trip me up?
When someone challenges you on something you either come back with a totally unrelated verse
In your inexperienced opinion.
or worse still, clam up and hope the problem goes away.
Sometimes like Christ is is best to say nothing for a while and let others give an opinion or two.
Even then, just look at the questions unanswered in my posts to Mark and others, even yourself, who has not positively responded to Paul's relevant question.
You ignore verses that describe the agape LOVE of God
I don't ignore them at all, you people go on about it all the time.
Sadly they always omit the other side of God's character which brings the proper balance of fear and respect for Him.
yet gleefully jump on verses that describe the SEVERITY of God. (I accept that I have got it completely the other way round and do exactly the opposite.)
There you are then, so I am the about the only one who does give voice to the other side of God's character, so I am righting the balance.
It sickens me when you latch onto someone like a dog with a rabbit and constantly harangue them, in complete opposition to what the Bible, which you so greatly believe in, tells you that you shouldn't.
Really, I will still obey Scripture teaching.
"3 Beloved, my whole concern was to write to you on the subject of our common salvation, but I am forced to write you an appeal to defend the faith which has once for all been committed to the saints." Jude 1:3 (MOFF)
"1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;" 2 Tim 4:1-3 (KJV)
This is the difference between me and you, John, you go by your own human emotions and not the Divine guidance of the Scriptures.
Should it not rather "sicken" you that the Lord's command for women in the churches is being disobeyed and cast aside?
Take Celia, it's got sweet nothing to do with the fact that she doesn't wear a hat in church, but the fact that she is a woman, full stop.
It has, if you care about a professing sister of the Lord, it greaves me she is refusing to obey "righteousness".
Obviously it has no effect on you as you do not take the Lord's command seriously.
It shows in your posts to her time and time again.
I certainly hope so, John.
And contrary to what you think I do have an affection for Celia.
Even when she gave you up for Lent, you couldn't resist having sly little digs at her.
We also have our little jokes along with the serious things....and we do occasionally email each other.....{;o;}
she knows it is nothing 'personal' but only to show the correct procedure for a woman professing to be a sister of Christ.

Veff...
I will deal with the other part of your post later.
" Paul, a servant of God and
an apostle of Jesus Christ. I was sent to lead God's chosen people to faith
and to the knowledge of the truth that leads to a godly life." Titus 1:1
(GW)
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
John 13:20 (KJV)
