I think the guy is stretching the facts a bit. For example, he claims
that the Golden Rule is a quote from some apocryphal book. He might
just as well claim that it is a quote from Buddha or the Rig Veda (or
whichever Hindu book it is), as both those religions also teach
something similar to the Golden Rule.

It would be nice to think that every politician who said "this point
in time" was quoting whoever as an authority, but the fact is that
phrases and expressions become part of the currency of a language and
are used, just as words are used, entirely independently of other
usages of those phrases.
