So what was it that you maintain is "actually mentioned just once in the
whole of Jesus' ministry" found in Mark's Gospel, but not in Matthew's ?
Thanks.

Jeff...

The original post consisted of a discussion between yourself, Phil
Saunders and Mark Goodge.

Phil said : "It would be interesting to know whether Jeff considers
either Calvin or Servetus to have been a true Christian. Neither of
them was baptised following belief,

Jeff said: If that is true then according to NT teaching they were
not authentic
brethren of Christ and are doomed anyway, as are all those who refuse
to be
baptised by water immersion AFTER they come to a knowledge of Christ.
Calvinism is therefore as bad as the RCC and is part of her whore
daughters. They remain in a state of being unforgiven for their past
sins,
today's, and the rest of their lives, if they foolishly and
rebelliously
refuse to be baptised as Christ and Peter has commanded the faithful.

Phil said: "something which Jeff"

Jeff said: "And the Lord Jesus....

Phil said: repeatedly claims to be essential.

You then quoted Mark 16:16 to back up your statement that they were
doomed

"He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. Mark 16:16

So you were claiming that Jesus repeatedly claims that both believing
and baptism are essential for salvation.

I then said -

You see this sort of manipulation, suggestion and mis-direction is
quite typical of those with a fixation that it would seem our friend
Jeff is a type.

The Lord Jesus did not repeatedly claim it to be essential - Jesus
does not mention the word "essential" - that little addition is of
Jeff's own making. Jesus does not even repeatedly claim it as Jeff
suggests. It is actually mentioned just once in the whole of the
record of Jesus' ministry. Mathew doesn't mention it, neither does
Luke or John. It is a one off single comment to be found in Mark's
Gospel. These are the plain simple facts.

Since that time you have continually taken the heat off yourself by
falsely claiming that I have said that Mathew doesn't mention Baptism.

That is not the issue.

Where in Mathew does it say -

"He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved"
