I don't think Paul was talking about a physical inability to control
the actions of his body. Nor was he seeking to excuse his own sin on
the basis that "I can't stop myself doing it", or trying to claim that
a compulsive action cannot be sinful. Rather, he was taking
responsibility for his actions, even the sinful ones compelled by his
fallen nature, in the knowledge that this would rightly earn him
condemnation were it not for the grace of Christ.
