I shall be attending the funeral of a work colleague next week. Never
having attended a RC funeral before, is there anything in the way of
protocols that I should be aware of?
Will it be a requiem mass or 'just' a funeral?
If it's 'just' a funeral, then nothing much different from any other denominational funeral.
If it's a requiem mass, then it will be a bit longer. - Mind you I once went to a Baptist funeral with over an hour of eulogies and nothing about heaven or hell death or resurrection! :-(
Many priests invite those who can't communicate to go forward for a blessings at communion.
What had you in mind, Tony? I really can't think of much to warn you about! ;-)
(I'd say just relax and enjoy it, but that seems inappropriate.)
