good question!
I think we need to encourage people to read their holy books for
themself, not rely on a cleric to interpret them for them.
Denominations will always have their own interpretations, but then it
should be up to individual members to read and decide if they agree
with it.
The problem is when clerics say to their followers, Christians are
evil and if you kill them you go straight to heaven.
True Isam would not say that, as least I don't think it would.

Still I don't hold to the teachings of the Quran, I only accept the
Bible as the Word of God.
But even in Christianity people tend to follow their clerics rather
than read for themself.
