Then in according to Christ's way of *thinking you have rejected him.
John 12:48 "He that rejecteth me, and *receiveth not my words*, hath one
that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in
the last day.
It seems a severe pity then, Jeff, that you reject Jesus' divinity. Clearly expressed to those who rejected Him:-
"I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!" At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds. John 8:58-59
Was He committing blasphemy in claiming to be divine, Jeff? Would you stone Him for that (for you do keep the scriptures, don't you?), or would you accept that He is very God?
"The person who isn't with me is against me, and the person who doesn't
gather with me scatters."
Would you stand with Thomas and say in his great affirmation of faith, "My Lord and my God!" ?
In other words you can either accept Christ, or you, by default reject him,
you either gather with him, or else you scatter. Thus, in the sum of the
totality Christ is referring to, you have rejected all that Christ stands
for.
So which is it for you, Jeff?
Just as the passage in James 2:10 amplifies (regarding the Mosaic Law.)
"For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is
guilty of all."
Indeed, so your answer to my question is?
Mike
