That is understandable.

Also I use a wireless connection which personally I think is not as
secure as a normal phone or ethernet (wired connections), because you
network is visible to other users with wirless connectors. I know you
could have a password on the router which restricts access, but it is
only as secure as the knowledge of the other person to bypass it.

In a residential setting, wireless with encryption is reasonably secure.
Of course once the postings have left your computer, assuming you're not
using remote login over the connection to the machine you're posting
from, then the wireless is possibly the least open to eavesdropping on
the route from you to us.

The wired link I'm using runs in a straight line for about 20 meters. I
wonder how well that cable acts as an antenna, and the data isn't
encrypted. I have security on this machine as well as on the
router/firewall believing that multiple layers help. The main risk of
wireless connections is someone else using your router to surf things
that they wouldn't want to do at home.

I can't post and read at the same time on this software. It's a bit
antiquated but it works. You're probably reasonably traceable from your
news headers. I know I'm very traceable.

Back to the comment on people seeing eachother - I wonder if we ever
brought back the old X-Face standard how many people's software would
be able to use it. It used to give a black and white (not greyscale)
48x48 image.
