Well, yes, that was rather my tongue-in-cheek point - that it's interesting to see that phrase used of the RCC, when one is used to seeing it used to mean other 'churches' that don't quite qualify to be called churches.

It was only a throwaway comment with a smiley. Can't I be silly occasionally?
