Can you please define:
- "mainstream Christian;"
- "orthodox beliefs;"
- "reasonably", as a qualifier to "orthodox".
Then at least we might know where you would hope that we start from.
But, last time I checked, there was nothing about voluntary euthanasia,
or assisted suicide or, for that matter, abortion, in either the
Apostles' or Nicene Creed, which I would normally think of as a guide
to what is orthodox belief; nor, to the best of my knoweldge, does a
Church have to declare itself against all these things in order to be a
member of the World Council of Churches, which might be a guide to what
is "mainstream".
