I agree that it's nonsensical to boycott a company just because
its products are used for a bad purpose. I don't know anything
like enough about this particular story to know whether there's
more to it than that. (For instance: perhaps they gave the Israeli
government, or some such entity, a special deal, in the full knowledge
that those cheap bulldozers were going to be used for bulldozing
people's homes; that might be a bit different. But I have no reason
to think anything like that is actually true.)

Caterpillar explicitly denies that this is the case. The company story
is that they sold them to the US military, who then sold them on.
