If you advertise on here what is anyone going to do bout it, it's not
moderated its a News Group and if they bone all it will do is give you
more free publicity, so whats the boat like and how much do you want for

terms and conditions to prevent newsgroup abuse, and most newsgroups now
have a 'charter' on what is acceptable to post in that group, so someone
posting against that charter could be reported to their ISP for breaking
the T&C's.
However, the charter of this group states:-
"Advertising will not be allowed, however if an individual wishes to trade
an item of interest to the group, they can post to this effect" which to
me reads that it is acceptable for an individual to advertise a boat
related item for sale on here, or even a boat, but it is not acceptable
for any business to advertise on here, or to use this group to promote
items for sale on auction sites like eBay, even if they are boat related
items, or boats.
The "charter" which you have quoted clearly allows an item of interest to be
traded via the group.
Why do you suggest that allowing the advertising of this boat here is bad
advice ?
