Your gathering together of separate threads is inconvenient, highly

In what way? I think it is actually considerably *more* convenient
than reading several separate postings from me.

It becomes impossible to follow the threads when you do this.

Why? I am usually doing a "reply" through my newsreader software,
which means that, irrespective of whether I copy text from several
other postings, my posting will appear as just one posting of the
thread.

Why do you think no one else does this?

Some do. The others haven't thought of it yet, perhaps?

May I refer you to RFC1855 and particularly

Read both mailing lists and newsgroups for one to two months before
you post anything. This helps you to get an understanding of the
culture of the group.

Particularly about understanding the culture of the group. I do not
know of anyone else, in this group, who habitually collects quotes
from separate parts of a thread and then quotes them in one posting.

Many may have thought of it and have rejected it. This is not the
first time I have seen a complaint about your habit of collecting
together posts. Most are probably too polite to respond or cannot be
bothered, which is how I feel most of the time.

While we are at it, could you sort out your signature. It should be
preceded by a line consisting of two dashes a space and a line feed,
nothing else. This allows compliant newsreaders to automatically
strip out the signature block when composing a reply.

These are all common courtesy.

Mother knows best! :-)
