In reply to Canaldrifter (canaldrifter@xxxxxxxxxxxx) who wrote this in

Very tentatively I have reduced my warfarin dosage by 1mg for the pastYou are a brave man, Mr Drifter, and I hope your DIY doctoring proves
few days, and without jumping to conclusions, I am feeling a little
better. All the same aches and pains are still there, but less
intense, so I might be on to something. Nearly all the 'osteo
arthritis' stuff COULD be the result of hemophilia due to the quacks
overdosing me! Too early to tell yet, but if the trend continues.....
The trick will be to work out how little warfarin I can take without
risking further DVTs. My gp is fuming because I'm doing this off my
own back. But it's only his reputation I'm risking. It's my quality of
life.
successful. Have you tried the elephant-strength Glycosamine for the aches
and pains? You have to stick at it for weeks before a difference, but it
won't hurt you (I am reliably informed). It even worked remarkably well for
someone-I-know's 11 year old labrador.
My faith in doctors died along with my daughter. As far as I can see, their
job is to make me queue up when I know I need antibiotics, just in case I'm
too stupid to know the difference between an infection and a virus.
I suspect they are necessary as long as most of the population is too thick
to be trusted with their own health, though.
