In article <$czrjtif4GvGFw9$@no.spam.please>, Martin Clark <martin@xxxxxx> writes
"We have been served with a noise abatement notice by Highland Council following a complaint by a resident of a house adjoining Muirtown Locks regarding the noise caused by the overnight cascading of water over the Muirtown Locks. We are appealing specifically on the grounds of public safety."
It baffles me why how someone can buy a house alongside locks and then think they are justified in complaining about the sound of water.
Same way that they buy houses near railway lines or airports and complain about the noise, or houses in the country and complain about tractors leaving mud on the road or sheep making a baaing noise.
