Synchronising email

Like many people I use a desktop computer at home and a laptop on the boat.

I have software to synchronise the data in the folders which I need in both places, but have problems with email.

Does anyone know of a technique for copying email between M$ OE on two computers via a local area network.
At present the only method I have found is to forward email to myself via my ISP using "send only" on one computer and then "receive" on the other, but this is a bit clumsy.

Any other ideas?

My indecision is final.
