I remember there was a duck ramp specified as part of the Frankton locks
restoration.
Many fledgling waterfowl perish unnecessarily because the bank protection
acts as a watery prison.
Moorhen chicks are particularly vulnerable round here.

There are duck ramps all along the concrete section of the K&A twixt
Avoncliff and Dundas, and beyond. Unfortunately no-one explained what
they were there for to the little furry things that keep falling in,
like baby deer and fox cubs.
