Molesey Lock

Thanks Tony, and to the others who have replied in this thread. It seems to be
something in the order of 2 - 3 weeks, depending on fitness levels, weather and
distractions (attractions) of pubs on route, so at least I've got a good idea of
'travel time'.

I'm still trying 'canalplan' with all the start info of 'Moseley lock' and the end of
journey info of 'Bristol - Lloyd's Amphitheatre', but I still keep getting this line
below when I do a 'Calculate Route'. I must have tried 20 or so times using different
settings, and I'm baffled why a don't get a result. Even the basic settings with no
width or length set still give the same response.

"There are three reasons (either alone or in combination) why this can happen: the
route involves a waterway type you have set to "NEVER"; your boat size is too large
for the waterways involved; or the route goes via an excluded waterway."

Works ok for me but note spelling: Molesey Lock not Moseley Lock?

Actually CanalPlan wont recognise "Moseley Lock" and offers Molsey
lock instead. Just tried it here and it worked fine - reporting it as:

Total distance is 142 miles, 3¼ flg and 124 locks. There are at least
24 moveable bridges of which 3 are usually left open; 2 small
aqueducts or underbridges and 1 tunnel.

Made up of 56 miles, 2 flg of broad canals; 35 miles, 6½ flg of small
rivers; 50 miles, 3 flg of large rivers; 106 broad locks; 18 large
locks.

This will take 73 hours, 13 minutes which is 8 days, 1 hour and 13
minutes at 9 hours per day.
