Oh they do, promise! :-))
One of the ratings for fuses and carriers is the overall maximum
voltage, and that is related to clearances between chassis and the
fuse and terminals, and also the ability of the fuse wire to
melt/vapourise safely without causing a sustainable arc through
ionised metal inside the cartridge body.
Sand-filled fuses are probably safest, but they tend to be only
available in the smaller sizes and ratings.
It is a surprisingly complex subject.
