Experience suggests that this sort of child would have bounced out the
water onto a passing mattress. They tend to be indestructible.
The ones who drown seem to be those of caring parents. Ergo, before
warning/rescuing a child I would check out the parents first.
Sometimes it is better to cure than prevent.
Did I mention I am a Darwinist these days?
