Navigation from Nene to Ouse
I am moving my boat from a marina on the Nene at Northampton to a
marina on the Great Ouse. I am having difficulty in finding a company
who could move it by road (as my present marina do not have a crane for
loading) and it crossed my mind I could take it to the Ouse by water.
The boat is 27' x 9'6 and with the screen folded down has an airdraught
of around 6'4 across the 9'6 beam.
I am a little worried about the dimensions of sections of the middle
level route, especially the height of bridges which is given as 6'6
through Upwell and Outwell.
Is it possible to get a wide beam craft through easily?
