um, American English? :-)

I did see the smiley, but reading your post inspired me Google this, and
I found:

http://www.effingpot.com/index.shtml

A nice example:

"Lager - Sort of what you call beer. Usually a bit stronger and drunk
from pint glasses rather than bottles. Served cold, but not that cold.
American beer is not normally considered a manly drink by British males.
In the Epcot Centre in Florida, one of my American friends visited the
"British Pub" where he ordered a pint of Guinness and his wife ordered a
pint of "whatever was closest to American beer". The English waiter
merrily brought his Guinness and for her - a pint of water! "

Regards,

Like it!

In the '70s some friends from the RAF went to NY and found an 'English'
pub. They were warned about the strength of the beer and there was a limit
of 2 or 3 pints per person. The 'beer' was Watney's Red Barrel (sorry - is
after the watershed?)! They persuaded the barman to waive the limit, had
about 10 pints each (poor young fools) and walked out without staggering.
Mind, they'd recently had a w/e in Newcastle and had about 30 pints of the
brown stuff in 2 days.

You don't understand Newton's Third Law of Motion?
It's not rocket science, you know.
