Sorry this seriously way off topic, but I'm having problems getting to
a few of my favourite sites for the past couple of days.
I can't get to http://www.luminous-landscape.com/ or
http://www.oziexplorer.com/
On http://www.dpreview.com/ I can get the text but not the pictures
which seem to live at http://a.img-dpreview.com/
Any ideas?
Ping the site(s) in question from the command prompt (Start, Run, CMD, enter)
ping oziexplorer.com
you should see something like this:
Pinging oziexplorer.com [202.139.235.244] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 202.139.235.244: bytes=32 time=350ms TTL=47

Ping statistics for 202.139.235.244:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 347ms, Maximum = 350ms, Average = 349ms
If that does not get a response you can try flushing the PC's DNS
cache with
ipconfig /flushdns
and try again.
Still no joy try Tracert
tracert oziexplorer.com
If that stalls part way to the site there may be a problem between you and the site.
If you connect via a router you may need to reboot the router and / or flush its DNS cache.
Other things to look at are firewall or internet security software that could be misbehaving.
Good luck.
