Indeed. I had a problem last year with one that would have been OK
for someone with good balance, but it was 18" wide of very uneven
concrete, with a 10' drop onto rocks. I can't remember if it was
on the map.

Thanks. Yes. It's a month yet, but I was reminded of the maps
by other threads. The river is the Helmsdale at Kinbrace - it
looks too big to ford.

Went to the car park by Cow Green Reservoir, only a few years after it had
opened. Couldn't see the water as there were earth banks. I said that the
river was over 15' wide judging by the map so we might need a bridge.
Anyway, boots and sacks on, up the bank, my mate looked at Cow Green and
agreed that it was a bit wide to cross.
