My wife had to give me a stern warning about swearing in public!

I'm not a fan of velcro as a front flap fastener either, which most of
the current range have. It's ok until it gets wet and freezes, then try
doing it up.

I think Berghaus may have lost the plot, but to be fair most of the
other makes of jackets were very similar.

Perhaps I'll give the old Trango another re-proofing and see if it will
last a few more years.

Yup - it's that "Style over function" thing which screws up a great
deal of modern life. We all remember when a four wheel drive was a
Land Rover or Jeep, or at worst a Nissan Patrol - in anycase just a
box on wheels. Now look at the damn things.
