It's taken a while and admittedly the final push has been the

that it really is OK to drive a small car. My wife's Clio is only

there all the same and its better for both the pocket and the
environment. I wish I'd done it ages ago. Now I've just got
to find a buyer for the Scooby. Impreza anyone ? :-)
How fast were you trying to drive? If most of that distance is on the
motorway then it shouldn't make a great deal of difference to the
time, unless you broke the limit by a large amount. Given normal speed
limits and long-distance roads, there shouldn't be much journey time
difference since the extra power in a larger car usually only delivers
better acceleration.
