This isn't true. There is quite a discernable placebo effect for pets.
the form of tablets, injections etc it might have a placebo effect in a
situation where he associated a visit to the vet with making him feel
better.
Cats are a different story. They are intelligent enough to know that one day they will not come home from the vets.
(Or without their balls). ;-)
