I started on glucosamine hydrochloride some yeras ago after damaging a hip
(diesel fuel on a wet road); however, this was about a year after the fall
so long-term damage. About 3 or 4 months later I suddenly realised that my
hip wasn't hurting and wondered why - about a week later I managed to put 1
and 1 together! OK, so I can run a double-blind test on myself!
My sister is a GP and, as many doctors are, sceptical about
Glucosamine, Chondroitin and Fish Oil.
However, she now says she has seen enough patients to make her
satisfied that there are benefits in all those supplements.
I have to say that I'm a convert. Touch wood, I've never had aches or
pains in my knees and other critical joints since taking all three
supplements. It does, however, take months before you'll notice
anything.
Just a shame you can't get them on prescription, but there are plenty
of online pharmacies which are very reasonable.
