I'm surprised. Metric threads have a 60 degree included angle, whereas
BSP has a 55 degree Whitworth form one
And BA (British Association) threads are metric.
Again, I'm surprised. British Association threads have a 47 1/2 degree
included angle, rather than the 60 degree metric. Also, offhand I can't
recall non integer tpi's in BA thread tables.
At one time, the British Standard Cycle thread was used worldwide for
cycles and motor cycles. I don't know the situation now.
About the last refuge of Imperial measurement is the standard 5 Pole
allotment!
