Does this rule include poachers?

No, but you'd be a pretty daft poacher to be out stalking as stalkers
do.\snip\>

I was on the Suisgill Estate on Sunday. Despite the sign saying that
stalking takes place from 1st August through to 15th February, keep out
during those times, there was no sign of stalkers out that day.
Nonetheless, I am sure that the estate 'keeper was aware of our
presence.

Our local estate factor gave permission for shooters to take doves in
the wood next to our house. Upon being awakened by gunshots early one
Sunday morning I phoned the factor thinking that there may be poachers
about. He identified the persons responsible and played merry hell
with them for abusing his permit by shooting on Sunday!

Cheers,
