Steall paths and rope bridge are man made.
They should comply with safety regulations of any other man made
structure.
The paths should have safety rails where the pass steep drops and the
bridge should be removed.and replaced with a safe walking bridge.
You don't use them so why do you care ? People who do use them like
them the way they are if we wanted the pretend outdoors we'd go to
centre parcs.
There's so many things in the world that do need campaigning against
why waste your time with this stuff ?
Tell that to the relatives of people who get injured or killed.
My point is, the people who use these facilities are not complaining,
just you with your strange vendetta against the land owners. How many
people are we talking about here anyway ? A bit of common sense tells
anyone a crag edge is dangerous and care is needed
The highways agency should fence the whole length of britains roads
then, to stop people wandering onto them. And railtrack should put
fences on railway platforms to stop people from deciding to step out in
front of the 8:15 to Euston ?
10 people a day are killed on Britains roads so I think rubber cars are
an absolute must.
I'll give you an example.... My mum has alzheimers, and because my mum
and dad live in England, my dad will have to pay for my mum's care when
it becomes neccessary, if she had cancer or lived in Scotland he would
not, how can that be right he paid National insurance and tax for over
40 years supposedly to cover such eventualities.
Are you campaigning against it? Rather than support the millions
spent on fake conservation organisations it'd be better spent of care
in the community.
So what are you doing about it? Nothing I presume.
I support the one political party who say they will change this in
england. My voice alone is not going to be heard it would be futile.
I'd just end up pointlessly ranting and raving on newsgroups otherwise.
It's better to let people with power to do something fight it and
support them. Then me and my siblings can concentrate on helping my dad
cope for as long as possible on his own to delay the moment when
residential care is neccessary. (6 years so far).
I'm sure there's thousands of other injustices that need fighting so
why bother fighting for protection for us walkers when we don't want
it.
But you'd like the money the fake conservationists consume killing
wildlife and planting politically correct native trees to be spent
taking care of your mother. Wouldn't you?
Still can't see why they are "fake", they are doing what they and the
scientific community believe is neccessary to conserve our natural
heritage. The fact that you would do it differently does not make them
"fake", that's just childish name calling and probably very hurtfull to
the people who are passionate about conservation and work for these
organisations.
I'd rather they didn't spend money on pointless fences that are not
wanted or needed. "politically correct native trees" ? What a strange
statement, don't you mean environmentally correct native trees.
Politically correct fences, now that I can see. What did the woodland
trust do to you to make you so bitter in the first place ?
Go on, aim your fire at some REAL baddies it would be far more
rewarding.
Are you? Or are you just mouthing off against me?
What are you doing about the "baddies"?
Well nothing directly against "Baddies" I suppose. My support for the
ramblers association does help prevent arrogant land owners from
restricting access on public rights of way through their land. My
support fro the RSPB helps create environments for our natural flora
and fauna. My membership on the local scout group comittee helps keep
children interested in something other than gobbing and grafetti. And
my activity with the Institute of advanced motorists helps promote road
safety.
I really would like to know what your real agenda is here but I doubt
you're ever going to let us know there's more to this than just the
fact that you think conservation organisation are dishonest, there's
got to be, it's just not enough for a well adjusted individual to get
so worked up about.
Yours,
Intrigued of Milton Keynes
