Do you have any evidence that deer hunting in the UK takes place
near busy roads or is it simply a case of using non UK related
information because it fits your agenda?

It doesn't need to be near busy roads. In fact is it probably more
likely to happen of B roads.

Very evasive non answer. I'll rephrase the question.

Do you have any evidence that deer hunting in the UK takes place
near *any* roads?

Do you have any real evidence to support you assertion at all?

Not at this stage but as I have said none of this is of particular
importance.

That's right. We don't want a little thing like supporting
evidence to get in the way, do we!

The evidence is in America and all that needs to be done is to see if
there's a similar pattern emerging here.

The important first step is to process local data in respect of times
and dates of accidents and whether or not they are adjacent to hunting
estates.

Which is the evidence I was asking about!

If it can be proved that a shooting estate was responsible for
disturbing deer which caused a serious accident and an insurance
company takes steps to recoup its costs then that will be a
significant move forward.

One step at a time. And a number of insurance companies have been
approached.

In a recent letter to me from a source I am not prepared to release at
this stage, the following was stated: "I agree that the whole issue of
'avoidable' disturbance of deer/wildlife - including effects of
shooting/hunting is a subject which needs to be looked at more closely
with view to trying to minimise wildlife collisions"

So it looks like it might not be going away.

We live in hope.

Be my guest.

All truth passes through three stages:
First, it is ridiculed;
Second, it is violently opposed; and
Third, it is accepted as self-evident.
