And landowners who invite or encourage the public onto their land
should be responsible for their safety.
I am interested as to why you believe they are inviting or encouraging
people onto their land. I do not hold the same view. Have they been
poking 'please come visit us' leaflets through your door? Have they been
spamming you with invites? Have they been spamming newsgroups with
invitations to visit their land or to visit their websites? Have you
been acosted in the street by their representatives?
They are businesses providing playgrounds for the general public and
as such should make sure their playgrounds are safe for people of all
abilities to use.
This is pure advertising and from the JMT website:
http://www.visit-fortwilliam.co.uk/ben_nevis/summer_climb.htm
So it is a case of people having to search for the sites via a search
engine or by conciously following a link from a website, i.e. people
going looking for information.
Promoted by JMT on their website.
Y-e-s. And how does one find the website. A person has to go to the
website to see the information. How does one find the website? Either by
pre-knowledge or by searching for it. It is providing information for
people who are looking for it.
NO. People looking to visit Scotland could easily stumble across the
JMT site from other links and JMT is just as much part of the tourist
industry as any other fake conservation movement. All they're really
doing is repairing and conserving the aesthetics of a playground that
will appeal to visitors. None of this is conserving the natural
environment. The promotion of tourism is a destructive force and is
not conservation.

All truth passes through three stages:
First, it is ridiculed;
Second, it is violently opposed; and
Third, it is accepted as self-evident.
